My Dear Parishioners,

I recently heard from the Coordinating Council of Health and Welfare (the Warminster Food Bank) what a successful Manna Food Drive we had!  At first, expectations were low because of the Coronavirus and so few people were coming to Mass.  Well instead, we broke our record!  We collected 2,393 pounds of food. This was so astonishing that the director himself called me to thank our people for being so generous in the hour of need.  So, thank you to all who donated at this time.  This generosity is even more significant because it likely was given by fewer people than usual.  A special thanks to all those who helped out with this month’s collection and delivery – there were a couple of new faces, and of course thanks to our regular volunteers who provide this service every month.  If anyone is interested in helping deliver the food, or sorting it at the Food Bank, the volunteers usually gather on the Wednesday following the monthly collection around 7:15 – 7:30 a.m. in the church parking lot, load up their pickup trucks (if you can drive your own pickup even better), attend the 8:00 a.m. Mass, and then deliver the food to the Food Bank and unload it.  In addition, those who can stay to help sort the food.

God Bless you.

Fr. Bordonaro
