Upcoming Feast of Pentecost
My Dear Parishioners,
In this week’s bulletin we are including a survey slip about the time of our Saturday Vigil Mass. The survey is to see if the 5:00 time is still working for most of us, or if 4:00 will be a better time.
If you want to take part in the survey, simply cut out the survey slip from the bulletin, check one time or the other, and drop it into next week’s collection basket.
Yes, if there is more than one parishioner in the same home, all can take the survey. Simply, just photocopy the survey slip and then each can check one time or the other and then drop it in next week’s collection basket.
Out of fairness, let us only put in one slip per person!
Our parish congratulates those who will be graduating from Archbishop Wood High School on Monday as well as all our High School graduates. We are very proud of you, and we have great confidence in you and great hope for your futures. Of course, your futures are always secure as long as you continue in your Catholic Faith and always remain close to Jesus.
Next week is the great Feast of Pentecost. We know that our Blessed Mother and the Blessed Apostles spent the days leading up to Pentecost in prayer in the Upper Room.
So let us imitate them by preparing for next Sunday with prayer. This week I am including a Litany to the Holy Spirit that can be prayed in these days up to Pentecost. It can be prayed either as individuals or as a family. May the Holy Spirit continue to speak to us and through us, for the Glory of God and the Salvation of Souls.
St. Joseph, Patron of the Church, and our Patron, pray for us!
