My Dear Parishioners,
We are still in the process of verifying your inscriptions for the memorial items used in the renovation of our church. If you have donated a memorial, please check the sheets posted in the back hallway to check both the wording and spelling of the inscriptions. If a change needs to be made, please submit that change to me in writing at the rectory or by email, Fr.Bordonaro@verizon.net. There are some remaining items yet to be donated. If interested in memorializing one of the remaining items, please see me as soon as possible. A list of available items is also posted in the back hallways.
Next Sunday our second collection will be for our Easter Flowers and decorations for the Easter Season. Thank you for your generous support. It helps us to beautify our church and enhances our worship. Please be sure to fill out the envelopes with the names of the loved ones (either living or deceased) you want remembered on the altar throughout the Easter season.
The Archdiocese is in the process of a three year program known as Remain in My Love. The stated goal of this program is: Rediscovering the Mission of Marriage and the Family. This third and final year (2019) of Remain in My Love brings the Church’s good news about marriage and family life to all of the people of the Archdiocese. The three key topics of Years 1 and 2 will be presented in Plenary Sessions throughout the Archdiocese and are open to everyone. These presentations aim to immerse all of us in the splendor of Christ’s teachings about marriage and family and to provide a way for married couples and families to meet and support one another. In addition, all are invited to consider launching or participating in a CanaVox small study group. More information about CanaVox can be found below. There is no more urgent time than now to bring marriage and family to new life and to work to protect this most precious institution created by God.
The 2019 Plenary Sessions will take place primarily on Sundays. Families are encouraged to “make a day of it”, attending Mass together, perhaps going out to eat together and then attending a session. All are asked to register for the sessions using the following link: https://form.jotform.com/90445957905165.
