We Conclude the Month of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

My Dear Parishioners,

This weekend we conclude the Month of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, and we recall that Jesus allowed His Heart to be pierced for love of us.

His pierced Heart shows us the depth of His Love for us and reveals His desire to make us His friends in the truest sense “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants any longer, because the servant does not know what the master is doing; but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from my Father” (John 15: 12-15).

His pierced Heart also gave birth to the beautiful Sacraments of Love, Baptism and the Most Holy Eucharist “See, Fire and Spirit in the womb that bore you! See, Fire and Spirit in the river where you were baptized! Fire and Spirit in our Baptism; in the Bread and the Cup, Fire and Holy Spirit!” Christ, the Light of the World, dwelt first in the womb of the Virgin—who was thus “baptized” by her Son— and then in the womb of the Jordan; he emerged from both as the Incarnate Word, the Savior of mankind. Those who are baptized thus become the children of Mary and partakers of the body, blood, soul, and divinity of her Son” St. Ephrem

Jesus Himself displayed His pierced Heart to St. Margaret Mary in the 17th Century. Then He gave her the mission to spread devotion to His Most Sacred Heart and to help establish the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart in response to the indifference of the time “Behold this Heart, Which has loved men so much, that It has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, in order to testify to them Its love; and in return I receive from the greater number nothing but ingratitude by reason of their irreverence and sacrileges, and by the coldness and contempt which they show Me in this Sacrament of Love …

Therefore I ask of thee that the Friday after the Octave of Corpus Christi be set apart for a special feast to honor My Heart, by communicating on that day and making reparation to It by a solemn act, in order to make amends for the indignities which It has received during the time It has been exposed on the altars.

I promise that my Heart will expand to pour out in abundance the treasures of divine love on those who render It this honor.”

How beautiful! Jesus wants us to know His Love!

Jesus wants us to dwell in our hearts! Jesus wants to dwell in our Hearts!

Sadly, indifference is spreading once again. Sadly, and sickeningly, the capital sin of Pride is spreading again and is being spread by those who so foolishly think that they can redefine love and marriage. Sadly, and sickeningly, the capital sin of lust continues to spread in our society that allows co-habitation and marriage outside of the Church and no longer reserves intimacy to the state of real Christian marriage.

Sadly, so many who were Baptized as Catholic and grew up in the Faith are no longer practicing the Faith. I must stress that the overwhelming majority of fallen away Catholics are not practicing the Faith of their own free will and their own bad choice. I will say this again, the overwhelming majority of fallen away Catholic are not practicing the Faith of their own free will and their own bad choice. Those who are honest will have to agree with me.

There is however hope for all of them and all of us, and that hope is in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

On their behalf, let us renew our Devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. As we do so let us remember the promises that Jesus Himself made to St. Margaret Mary:

  1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of
  2. I will give peace in their
  3. I will console them in all their
  4. I will be their refuge in life and especially in
  5. I will abundantly bless all their
  6. Sinners shall find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
  7. Tepid souls shall become
  8. Fervent souls shall rise speedily to great
  9. I will bless those places wherein the image of My Sacred Heart shall be exposed and venerated.
  10. I will give to priests the power to touch the most hardened
  11. Persons who propagate this devotion shall have their names eternally written in my Heart.
  12. In the excess of the mercy of my Heart, I promise you that my all powerful love will grant to all those who will receive Communion on the first Fridays, for nine consecutive months, the grace of final repentance: They will not die in my displeasure, nor without receiving the sacraments; and my Heart will be their secure refuge in that last hour.

This Friday is Independence Day. Mass is at 8:00. This will be my second Independence Day with you and so a very happy anniversary for me.

Let us continue to lay siege to Heaven and consecrate our lives, our families, and our country to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and to St. Joseph:.

Hail, O most loving Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We venerate You. We love and honor You. We give and consecrate ourselves and our nation to You forever. Receive us and possess us entirely. Purify, enlighten and sanctify us so that we may love You, Jesus, with the heart of Mary, and love you Mary, with the Heart of Jesus.

O Heart of Jesus living in Mary and by Mary. O heart of Mary living in Jesus and for Jesus. O Heart of Jesus pierced for our sins and giving us Your Mother on Calvary. O heart of Mary pierced by sorrow and sharing in the sufferings of your Divine Son for our redemption. O sacred union of these Two Hearts!

Praised be God the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Praised be the Holy Spirit of God Who united these Two

Hearts together.

May He unite our hearts and every heart so that all hearts may live in unity in imitation of the sacred unity which exists in these Two Hearts.

Triumph, O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary! Reign O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus! In our hearts, in our homes and families, in Your Church, in the lives of the faithful, in the hearts of those who don’t know you, in our beloved nation, and in all nations. Establish in the hearts of citizens and of all mankind the sovereign triumph and reign of Your Two Hearts so that earth may resound from pole to pole with one cry “Blessed be forever the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary!”

O dearest St. Joseph, we entrust ourselves to your honor and give ourselves to you that you may always be our father, our protector, and our guide in the way to salvation. Obtain for us a greater purity of heart and a fervent love of the interior life. After your example, may we do all our actions for the greater glory of God in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. O blessed St. Joseph, pray for us that we may share in the peace and joy of your holy death. Amen.
